INVENTOR INTERVIEW – HAPPY FAT RINGS

The Backstory I first started seeing Happy Fat Rings around March of 2019, after they were featured on Instagram pages like Garage Gym Experiment and the personal page of Donnie Thompson. At that time, I did not pay much attention to the product. In fact, I remember my first thought about them was actually about the name. Why “Happy” Fat Rings and not just Fat Rings? Chalk pots to me were the perfect solution for independent chalking stations that housed just the right amount of chalk. Curious if there was any way AbMat could help them advance their plans I reached out to them on Instagram and got...

Passionate People – Barbells For Bullies

(With Alexander Castiglione) The Backstory My first encounter with Barbells For Bullies was actually on a podcast series called “Make Pods Great Again” hosted by John Wooley. At the time, I was listening for both entertainment (John’s hilarious even though he won’t call himself a comedian) and to learn more about the CrossFit community. Now, this isn’t about me in any way, but I think it’s important for me to expose my “why”. Listening to Alex talk about the public perception of pit bulls reminded me of growing up with rottweilers. On one side of the fence, you would run...
